With the new fire station in Bings-Stallehr, a functional yet architecturally high-quality building was created in Vorarlberg and has been in operation since August 2025. Four ALPGATE FT-SP-50 folding doors ensure smooth and safe vehicle exits and reliably support daily operations — precisely when every second counts.
The building was constructed as a compact, two-story structure and consistently designed with sustainability in mind. A durable timber façade, efficient use of materials, and a photovoltaic system contribute to resource-efficient operation and low energy costs. This ecological approach is also reflected in the design of the door systems: the on-site timber cladding integrates the folding doors harmoniously into the façade, giving the building a calm, high-quality appearance.
Technically, the doors impress with their robust galvanized steel frame construction with a 50 mm installation depth, high torsional rigidity, and durable components. The four-leaf design (2 + 2, outward opening) offers generous clearance dimensions of approx. 3,689 × 3,980 mm. High-quality seals provide reliable protection against wind and weather, while the safety insulating glazing ensures plenty of daylight in the vehicle hall — a plus for working comfort and energy efficiency.
This project thus combines functional requirements, sustainable construction, and clear architecture into a cohesive overall concept that sustainably supports the daily work of the fire brigade.
ALPGATE doors are manufactured in South Tyrol and, with over 30 years of experience in industrial door construction, stand for the highest quality, durable designs, and reliable solutions for everyday use.
