On Saturday, July 26, 2025, the historic marketplace of Obergrombach transformed into a true summer fairytale. The festivities celebrated two anniversaries – including the proud 112th anniversary of the Obergrombach Volunteer Fire Department.
In addition to the celebrations, the fire station had undergone extensive renovations in recent months. A central element of modernization: three new folding doors from ALPGATE.
Renovation with foresight
The old doors, after decades of use, were no longer up to standard. Larger emergency vehicles and increasing requirements made replacement unavoidable. During the renovation, the doors were not only adapted to the new structural conditions but also brought up to date in terms of energy efficiency and functionality. The flooring was renewed, the facade connection optimized, and the new ALPGATE doors now provide more comfort, safety, and efficiency.
Individually planned – perfectly executed
The large folding door was equipped with an electric drive, ensuring that it opens reliably without additional effort in emergencies.
Two smaller doors were built as manually operated versions – robust, reliable, and perfectly tailored to the needs of the Obergrombach Fire Department.
The folding doors are fitted with ESG insulated glass, ensuring high energy efficiency, natural daylight, and a welcoming appearance. Red sandwich panels, in harmony with the fire department, were integrated into the lower sections, offering excellent insulation values and additional stability.
Technology that convinces
Our doors naturally comply with DIN 14092 for fire stations, particularly the required opening speed, guaranteeing constant operational readiness. Thanks to various opening schemes (e.g., 2+2, 3+0, 4+4, and many more), ALPGATE doors can be individually adapted to the installation situation and the requirements of fire departments.
