For a hangar in Austria, we delivered and installed a sliding folding door measuring 18.30 m × 5 m (W × H). The SFT-SP-50 door consists of a robust, welded steel frame construction made of galvanized sectional steel tubes with a construction depth of 50 mm and features a matte RAL 9018 coating. The 16 leaves open inward and are arranged in an 8 + 8 opening scheme.
Sliding folding doors of this design offer reliable operation even for large openings thanks to their high stability. Weather-resistant rubber seals provide tight sealing between the leaves. Nylon brushes at the top and bottom offer protection against dust and moisture and ensure consistent insulation between indoor and outdoor areas. Most panels are made of ESG insulated safety glass, while the lower fields consist of sandwich sheet panels with a PUR rigid foam core, ensuring thermal insulation, stability, and safety.
The running track, hinges, and rollers ensure smooth and safe operation, while the recessed floor track provides optimal leaf guidance. Together, these features create a functional and long-lasting solution for the hangar.
